April 13, 2011 Meeting Minutes


 

The meeting was called to order at 7:05 pm and adjourned at 9:08 pm.   No one claimed the big fish pot.  There were no special guests at the meeting.

Program Activity:   None

Tips, Tactics and Techniques:    Russ Baker talked about throwing square bill crank baits in spring.  He likes to use fiberglass rods because of the give when a fish eats the bait which results in more hookups . Stiffer rods tend to pull the hooks during hook set.  He.has had the most success on the Bandit and Jackall baits in crawdad patterns.  He switches to deeper divers as the season goes on.  He uses mono for all applications.

Luke Morgan is on for May.

Treasurer’s Report:  Wayne Bailey reported a balance of $3457.29.

Minutes:  The March minutes were accepted as posted on the website.

Conservation Report:  No report

Federation Report:  George Beegle went in Gerald's place.  Banks draw down begins in July until October 31st.    Thanks George!

The Federation Team has been selected and is as follows:  Boaters are Tom, Shawn, Joe and Emanuel.   Nonboaters are Ryan,  Kevin Higgins,  Al, and Micheal Coffey. The first  Federation Qualifier on Chelan is launching out of Mill Bay across from the casino. You are allowed to stay in casino parking lot over night. 

Tournament Report: Aaron Christel won the club tourney on Sammamish.  Jaimee Strasbaugh and Lance cash won the Sammamish Open for the second year in a row.  Congratulations guys!

Fishing Reports:  Lake Washington is good.  Fish are starting to move up and feed.  Football heads are producing good fish anywhere from the weed line to 28 feet.

Safety: No report

Old Business: Mark Mrzena's proposal to change the clubs logo was voted on and passed.  We are still looking into the right place to make us T shirts and Hoodys.

New Business:  Travis Archer was voted in as our newest member.
