Resignations
Kenn Brainerd has resigned as the club
Secretary because he frequently works until 6:30 pm on week nights and
also on Saturdays. Kenn has served as the club Secretary for the
past several years. The next time you see Kenn tell him thanks for
his efforts over the past several years.
Steve Holets has resigned as the club Federation representative.
Steve has done a great job as club rep over the past several
years. When you see Steve tell him thanks. Any member
interested in serving as the Federation representation should make that
known at the September club meeting.
Club
Elections
Club officer elections will be held at the
September club meeting with the new officers taking office at the October club
meeting. Nominations will be taken prior to voting at the September meeting. Current
nominees that have accepted nominations that meet officer requirements
are: President - Doug Jorgensen, Treasurer - Ken Ganancial,
Tournament Director - Franco Stone, Secretary - None.

Silver Lake Results
The August 11 Silver Lake club tournament saw 23
anglers fishing. 7 anglers weighed fish. A 12 inch minimum was
used rather than the 14 inch lake minimum size. 11 Fish were
weighed, of which 4 were between 12 and 14 inches. The contest
banners allowed three anglers to weigh fish that they would
otherwise not have been able to weigh. Congratulations to Ken
Ganancial for 1st place, Art Soto for 2nd place, Kevin Foote for 3rd place
and Tom Melowitz for big fish at 3.85 pounds. See the Web
Site for the full results. The grass carp abounded on the lake.
There appears to be few weeds left on the lake with the exception of
pads. Based upon the post tournament conversations there appears to
be little sentiment for returning to Silver in the next several years.
Vantage Tournament
The next club tournament is on the Columbia
River at Vantage on September 15 and 16. We will be launching from
the state park just south of I 90. Non boaters should be working on
pairing up with boaters. |
Club Dues
Just a reminder! The
club constitution states that club
Dues of $56 are payable by the October club meeting.
