Changes
to the Permit
Process
The proposed changes to the W.A.C. (Washington Administrative Code)
which provides the foundation for limitations on lake fishing
permits for contests will be briefed on November 9-10 at the Fish and
Wildlife Commission workshop at the Natural Resources Building in
Olympia. The rule proposal and decision is expected to take place
on December 7-8 in Vancouver. The expected changes, as explained
by Steve Jackson, who heads up the warm water division of the Fish and
Wildlife, will not impact club tournaments.
Club
Elections
Club officer elections are held annually in
September with the new officers taking office at the October club
meeting. Nominations for officers will be taken at the August club
meeting and also prior to voting at the September meeting.
August Program Activity
Ted Watts, previously a club member, will be the guest speaker at
the August club meeting.

Moses Lake Results
The July 20-21 Moses Lake tournament saw 22
anglers fishing. 20 Weighed fish. The I 90 bridge was a
popular spot with 30 fish reported caught there on Saturday.
Congratulations to Frank White for first place, Kenny G for second place
and Franco Stone for 3rd place. The complete tournament results are
posted under Moses Lake.
John Davis, pictured above, had the big fish, a 5.24 pound
largemouth, putting him in the lead for big fish of the year.
Silver Lake
The next club tournament
is on Silver Lake on August 11. The club will be launching
from the state ramp on Silver Lake. Our annual conservation activity
will be Saturday after the tournament. We will be cleaning up the
boat ramp area. Garbage bags will be provided. The previously
scheduled big fish challenge from the Kent BassMasters has been cancelled
due to lack of participation from Kent. No club activity is currently
scheduled for
Sunday August 12. Non Boaters should be working on pairing up with
boaters. |
