9, 2003 Meeting Minutes

The meeting began at 7:06 PM and adjourned at 8:40 PM. There were no
special guests and no one claimed the big fish pot.
Program Activity: None
Tips, Tactics and Techniques: Bryan Vance talked about fishing the BASS Invitationals in California in April of this year. Larry Guck volunteered for next month.
Raffle: The
raffle generated $59.
Treasurer’s Report: Mike Buse
reported a balance of $837.06.
Minutes: The minutes from June were accepted as posted on the Internet.
Banquet Report: Frank White reported we would be having the annual banquet at the Longhorn. The same place as last year. Chicken and Ribs will be the entrees. Frank will look into adding Beef as an entree. The banquet is scheduled for the second Saturday in December.
Conservation Report: No
report.
Safety: No report.
Federation Report: The next meeting is scheduled for
September. Raffle tickets were due back to the Federation. John
Davis' tickets and money have not been returned. Larry Williams
volunteered to seek out John at Auburn Sports on Thursday for the purpose of
getting the tickets and money. Mike Buse indicated that John had not paid
the club for his Federation options from Roosevelt. Several members
indicated that they were having difficulty reaching John. The state team
decided to replace John because of the difficulty we were having reaching
him. Chuck Warner will replace John at Pot Holes.
Tournament Report: Paul Jones reported on the Pend Oreille results. Joe Scheperle indicated the hours for the Scootney tournament will be 5 - 2 on Saturday and 5 - 1 on Sunday. The telephone number for the Cabanna Motel, 12 miles from Scootney, is 509 488-2605. We will launching from the state park. Tom Melowitz will investigate getting access to O'Sullivans Sportsmen Resort ( 509 346-2447 ) at Pot Holes for the club tournament in September. Hoss did well at the ABA Silver Lake tournament.
Old Business: Blaine talked about the August 17 Duck
Lake Derby. Only six kids had signed up. Blaine indicated that if no
one else signed up he would cancel the event. Subsequently, after the
meeting, no additional kids signed up, so the Derby was cancelled.
New Business: None
Klutz nominations: Someone tried to blast off with their trolling
motor down. Larry Williams ran out of gas at Tri Cities.
