July 14, 2004 Meeting Minutes

The meeting was called to order at 7:05 pm and adjourned at 8:42 pm. No one claimed the big fish pot. Special guests attending were Jamie and Stephanie Strasbaugh.

Program Activity: None

Tips, Tactics and Techniques: Marv Walker talked about participating in the C.A.S.T. Foundation. Tom Melowitz will talk about knots at the August meeting.

Raffle: The raffle generated $41.

Treasurer’s Report: Mike Buse reported a balance of $1815.

Minutes: The minutes from June were accepted as posted on the Internet.

Banquet Report: No report.

Conservation Report:  Larry Guck discussed a possible Zebra Mussel problem and how it could become a big problem.

Safety:  Check all of your equipment.

Federation Report:  The results for club member fishing the Banks Lake Federation Qualifier:

Tournament Report: Joe Scheperle talked about the Duck Lake and Riffe Lake results. Duck Lake - Riffe Lake. There were no good fishing reprts.

Old Business: The 2005 Tournament Committee of Larry Williams (Head), Frank White , Brian Vance, Chuck Warner, Larry Guck and , Ken Juhl was appointed by President Doug Jorgensen. The committee will report back to the club at the August club meeting.

New Business: Marv Walker was voted in as a new member.

Klutz nominations: Tom nominated Rob Towers for running with his live well open at Duck Lake and losing a fish. Larry Williams nominated Art for falling in the water while fishing. Tom nominated Hoss for throwing his keys in the water at Riffe Lake.
