13, 2005 Meeting Minutes
The meeting was called
to order at 7:08 pm and adjourned at 8:45 pm. No one claimed the big fish
pot. The special guest attending was Mark Byrne from the Federation.
Program Activity: Mark Byrne talked about conservation projects.
Tips, Tactics and Techniques: John Davis talked about fishing Senkos. His talk included skipping and rigging Senkos.
Raffle: The raffle generated
$60.
Treasurer’s Report: Mike Buse
reported a balance of $1883.06.
Minutes: The minutes from June were accepted as posted on the Internet.
Banquet Report: No report, but Frank said Colleen was working on it as he spoke!
Conservation Report: Doug
Jorgensen talked about the Pot Holes Fish Habitat project.
Safety: No report.
Federation Report: No report.
Tournament Report:
Larry Williams reported on the Snake River Tournament won by Doug
Jorgensen and the Tri Cities tournament won by Bryan Vance. Complete
results are on the Internet. He also discussed the fish pens that were
found on Pot Holes just prior to the Northwest Bass Tournament.
Fishing Reports: Tom Melowitz reported that largemouth fishing on
Banks was excellent but that smallmouth fishing was poor.
Old Business: There was discussion about getting more participation in
tournaments. There was overwhelming consensus that we need to schedule our
tournaments more affordably.
New Business: Carl Dykstra, Larry Plump and Donna Bankston
were voted in as full members. Doug asked that members begin soliciting
donations for Mary Bridge. Tom indicated that he would have a
Mary Bridge 2005 flyer on the
Internet by Friday.
Klutz nominations: John Davis volunteered to handle Klutz nominations if Ken Juhl was not present. Rick Knauer was nominated for oversleeping on Sunday at the Snake River and also for running out of oil at the Snake River on Saturday. He ran out of oil even though he noticed he was low on Friday. He forgot to fill up. He had to beach his boat at Central Ferry and hitch hike 20 miles to a store to get oil.
