March 14, 2001 Meeting Minutes

The meeting began at 7:00 PM and adjourned at 8:38 PM. No one claimed the Big Fish Pot. Special guests were perspective new members Chuck Warner, Rob Towers, Matt Becker, Nathaniel Rice, and John Davis who all joined the club.

Program Activity: Mark Downen, Fish and Game biologist, gave a very informing presentation on the largemouth and smallmouth bass that he has studied during the tournaments over the last few years on lakes in the region including Washington and Sammamish.

Raffle: The raffle generated $107.

Treasurer’s Report: The current balance is $1499. Outstanding bills include the trophies for the Lake Sammamish Open.

Minutes: The were no February meeting minutes recorded.

Banquet Report: No report.

Conservation Report: Lyle Bowman reported that he has mailed the information for the clubs
conservation project for the 2001 year to the State Federation for approval. Our 2001 project is a
Silver Lake launch clean up project.

Youth Report: Nothing to report.

Federation Report: No Report.

Tournament Report: Kevin Foote indicated that the club needs a new tarp to cover the registration table at the tournaments. Steve Holets indicated he would purchase a new tarp for the Open tournaments.

Mary Bridge Donations: No Report.

Safety: Please bring in a copy of your boating safety certificate and to give it to the secretary at the next meeting. These copies will be kept on file with the club.

Old Business: The vests for the new state team members have been purchased and are being sent out for the patches and embroidery. Anyone interested in purchasing a club jackets should contact Joe
Scheperle.

Cast for Kids is looking for some volunteers to help at Waughup Lake in Lakewood on April 21st from 7:30 to 2:00. Anyone interested should contact Jim Owens.
