The
weather and fishing at the 2001 Jamboree at Banks Lake was
outstanding. The club was in first place after day 1 with a 7 #
average for the 12 anglers that fished for the club. We were in
second place with an average of 13 #'s after day 2 and ended up in third
place with and average of almost 15 #'s per angler.
Congratulations to the third place team of: Tom Melowitz, Bryan
Vance, Ken Ganancial, Gabe Amspacher, Franco Stone, Mike Buse, Joe
Perrin, Doug Jorgenson, Larry Guck, Rob McFarland, Art Soto, and Frank
White.
Many thanks to all of the club members that ran the kids casting contest
on Sunday at the Jamboree.

Oreille
Headquarters and the launch site for the Pend
Oreille June club tournament will be the Outpost. Hours for Saturday
will be safe light until 3:00 pm and safe light until 1:00 pm on Sunday.

Duck Lake Results
The Club tournament on Duck Lake saw 18 boats
and 33 anglers fishing. Ten limits were weighed on Saturday but only
two limits were weighed on Sunday. The weather was good
and the usual ocean breezes showed up each day. Congratulations to
Darrell Matson for first place with 17.65 pounds, Mike Buse for second
place with 14.17 pounds and Gerald Dunn for third place with 12.27
pounds. Gerald had the same weight as Franco Stone but was awarded
second place because neither weighed big fish but since he weighed only
one fish on Sunday ( 2.93 # ) it was counted as big fish which is the tie
breaker in the case of equal weights. Larry Guck had a 4.15 #
largemouth caught on Saturday for big fish which was worth
$150.
Lake Washington
Qualifier Results
Congratulations to the state team for a 6th pace
finish at the Lake Washington Federation Qualifier on June 9th and
10th. The wind blew both days and the fishing was tough. Ken
Ganancial had a 4 fish 14+ pound stringer on day 2 to finish 6th.
Also in the top 25 were Tom Melowitz (22) and Franco Stone (25). Franco
Stone is in 12th place after 2 tournaments!

Gabe Amspacher
put together a club team to participate in the Aqua View bopper hunt at
the Jamboree. The team, pictured below, using an Aqua
View, found the winning bobber in 15 feet of water and were awarded
a Aqua View underwater camera. Congratulations to Gabe and his
team. The club now owns a Aqua View. Gage Amspacher will
be the keeper of the Aqua View. If you would like to use it contact
Gabe to make arrangements to check it out and return it.
