October 9, 2002 Meeting Minutes

The meeting started at 7:12 pm and adjourned at 9:00 pm. There were no special guests. No one claimed the big fish pot.

Program Activity: There was no Program Activity.

Tips, Tactics and Techniques: Gerald Dunn handed out pamphlets on tire and bearing maintenance. A.J. Juhl will do Tips, Tactics and Techniques in November.

Raffle: There was no raffle.

Treasurer’s Report:  Mike Buse reported a balance of $936.22 with club dues to the Federation payable in November and BASS dues Payable in December.

Minutes: The September minutes as posted on the Internet were approved.

Conservation Report:  No report

Federation Report: Chuck Warner reported on the Federation Meeting. We need to send in our hours worked with Youth to meet our annual Federation requirement. Doug will complete the forms and get them into the Federation. The casting contest at the Jamboree and the Duck Lake youth outing both qualify as Youth activities. Chuck reported that the Federation qualifiers for 2003 are: Roosevelt - May 4 and 5, Potholes - July 19 and 20, Lake Washington - September 13 and 14.

Tournament Report: Joe Scheperle talked about preparation for the Michelsen Open.

Safety: Some members Safety Certificates have not been received by the Secretary. Starting in March 2003 club members will not receive points for a tournament fished if they do not have a Safety Certificate on file.

Old Business: Doug Jorgensen talked about culling fish at the weigh in. This is not allowed. All fish in your live well at weigh in must be weighed. Any penalties associated with the fish in your live will be enforced at that time. So, properly cull your fish out on the water.

Banquet: Frank White talked about the Banquet. Reservations have been made for December 14th. Frank will provide details and costs at the November meeting.

Klutz nominations: Gerald Dunn for spilling his drink on his handouts.

New Business: The November meeting will be at the Round Table Pizza at 16016 Meridian East in Puyallup.
