Dear Club Members,
I
have a few new bits of news to share.
First, Ryan has done a great job of setting up a
seminar for us at Sportsman's Warehouse on south
hill.
We are scheduled to do this on
January 14, from 1:00 to 3:00 pm.
This is the same day as our banquet, so it should be
a fun day of talking about fishing and hanging out
with the guys. If all goes well, we may be able to
do them seasonally. This is a huge opportunity for
our club to get our name out to new potential
members! If there is a topic that you would like to
cover, start thinking it up. Anyone is allowed to
speak. Just be prepared. If you would like to
participate, but not as a speaker, you are welcome
to talk to customers about our club and help them
pick out tackle. This could work into a great
sponsor for us and a great relationship. GREAT JOB
RYAN!!!
Due to personal reasons, Ron Ryan will not be able
to participate in the club for a while. From what
I understand, Ryan Gates is going to take on some of the responsibilities
as sponsor director, but this isn't official yet.
If you would like to help out with sponsor director,
speak up. It can be a lot of work, but it is very
rewarding for the club and on a personal level. You
will learn a lot. I am happy to aid you in tactics
on getting products as well.
Tournament Director is still an open position in the
club. This is one of the most important
positions and needs to be filled. Can someone
please step up and take it on? Again, you will have
help!
If you have items that you can donate for the
raffle, it is in need! Get them to Tim at the next
meeting. The raffle is an important and fun part of
our club meetings. It helps generate income for our
clubs general fund.
Congrats to Russ Baker on taking over as WSBF
President!!! New leadership has been needed, and
hopefully Russ can get participation back to where
it used to be. Also, Gerald Dunn was
elected as the new secretary/treasurer. There
should be a lot of information from Garald at the
next meeting regarding WSBF.
For those of you that finished in the top 10 in
points this year, start thinking about fishing the
state qualifiers. It is a huge opportunity for you
to meet new people and possibly fish the most
important tournaments of your life. The club will
need to select a state team in a future meeting.
The
schedule is out, the qualifiers will be held April
28th on Washington, June
30th at Tri-Cities,
and August
25th on
Moses.
Tight Lines,
Aaron
