12, 2001 Meeting Minutes
The meeting began at 7:00 PM and
adjourned at 8:30 PM. No one claimed the Big Fish Pot, although Tom
Melowitz reported catching a 6.1 pound largemouth on Pot Holes. Special
guests were Ron Bess and Dan Iwamoto.
Program Activity:
None
Raffle: The raffle generated $51. We need more raffle items!
Treasurer’s Report: Ken Ganancial reported a balance of $1,334.67
with no outstanding bills. Note: We do have trophy and hat expenses
coming. Dues
are payable by the next meeting or you will be dropped from the membership!
No Exceptions!
Minutes: The August minutes as posted on the Internet were accepted.
Banquet Report: Prices went up $1.00 per person, or $11.00 total per person. Member and first guest are $11.00 per person, extra guests will pay full price. Pre-pay or you will not get in. Money is now being collected at the club meeting. Social hour will start at 6:00 PM.
Conservation Report: Thanks to everyone who helped with the Silver Lake clean up.
Federation Report: Paul Jones will represent the club at the Sept. 15 meeting. If he does not fish on Sunday he will get the average point value of his other 5 tournaments for the Vantage tournament. This was voted and excepted at the Aug. club meeting.
Tournament Report: The Vantage launch will be at the State Park. 6:15 AM to 3:00 PM on Saturday. 6:15 AM to 1:00 PM on Sunday. There was a discussion about following all the Tournament Rules as written. Items not covered by our rules will default back to BASS national rules.
Mary Bridge Donations: Members should be soliciting donations. The club received a letter from Mary Bridge, notifying us that we were part of the Sterling Award as we have donated $15,597 since 1996. We also received (2) parking passes for the hospital and gave one of them to Frank White’s wife for her weekly trips to the hospital.
Safety: No Report
Old Business: Chuck Warner will be our new Federation Representative. Steve Holets will coach Chuck with his new duties.
The club reviewed a letter from Martin Bixby as to what he has and hasn’t done with reference to the Banks Lake Recovery Project and his meeting with the state about tournament permits.
The club reviewed a budget and list of needs for the Banks Lake
Recovery Project from Lou Nesval.
Club shirts are here. Contact Gerald Dunn about getting any
more.
Kenny G. is working on hats. The club wants 2 colors: White with a Royal Blue bill.
New Business:
Club officer nominations. No vote
was needed as there were single candidates for each office. President - Doug
Jorgensen, Secretary – Gerald Dunn, Tresurer. – Ken Ganancial, Tournament Director – Franco Stone with Blaine Wesner
as
his assistant.
New members voted in: Chuck Warner, Nate
Rice, Rob Towers, Richard Bowhart.
Larry Guck will be replacing Dave Haraway on the State Team for the Banks Lake
tournament.
