September 2002 Club Meeting Minutes

September 11, 2002 Meeting Minutes

The meeting was called to order at 7:05 pm and adjourned at 8:45 pm. No one claimed the Big Fish pot. Donald McKnight and Ron Jackson were special guests interested in joining the club.

Program Activity: The new program will be fishing tips and tricks put on by club members each month. Doug Jorgensen talked about knots.

Raffle: The raffle generated $55.

Treasurer’s Report: Kenny Ganancial reported a balance $683.87.

Minutes: The August minutes as posted on the Internet were approved.

Conservation Report: The August 24^th Banks Lake Enhancement had 10 club members working for a total of 44 hours which fulfilled our annual Federation conservation requirement. Pictures are on the club's Web site.

Federation Report: No report

Tournament Report: Preparation for the Mickelsen Open has started. Joe Scheperle will be the Tournament Director. Ken Juhl will be the weigh master and Joe Perrin also volunteered to help.

Eric Woods reviewed the Crow Butte results. Tom Melowitz was third, Larry Guck was second and Gerald Dunn won his first club tournament. Gerald explained the techniques he used to win the tournament.

Safety: Bring in your boating safety certificates! A few people still have not brought in their certificates!

Old Business: The club voted to move the monthly club meeting location to the Round Table Pizza on South Hill Puyallup (160^th and Meridian) starting in November.

The club voted on Tournament sites for 2003. There will be 7 tournaments for 2003. The first and last are one day Sunday tournaments following the Sammamish and Mickelsen Opens. The 5 tournaments that were voted in were: Lake Roosevelt in April, Palmer Lake in May, Pend O'reille in June, Scootney Reservoir in July or August and Potholes in September.

New Business:  2003 club elections were held with the following results:

                         President - Doug Jorgensen
                         Treasurer - Mike Buse
                         Secretary - Gerald Dunn
                         Tournament Director - Joe Scheperle

Larry Guck volunteered to serve as Conservation Director and Sponsor Director for 2003. Ken Juhl will handle Klutz Nominations.
