12, 2007 Meeting Minutes
The meeting began at 7:08PM and
adjourned at 9:10PM. No one claimed the Big Fish Pot. There
were no special guests.
Tips, Tactics, and Techniques:
Bryan Vance
and Jaymee Strasbaugh did not do tips, tactics and techniques due to the short
amount of time and several topics that had to be covered. They are still on for
October.
Program Activity: Mike Peruce from
G. Loomis talked about the history of the rod manufacturer and the steps
to building a fishing rod. It was a great presentation.
Raffle:
The raffle generated $56.
Treasurer’s Report: Stephanie Strasbaugh reported a balance of
$1418.72 with no outstanding bills.
Minutes: The August minutes as posted on the Internet were accepted.
Banquet Report: No report.
Conservation Report: No report.
Federation Report: Larry Williams went over a proposed 2008 Federation Qualifier format. Doug Jorgensen proposed turning down the proposed format as explained by Larry Willaims. The club voted against the proposed format that Larry had introduced.
Tournament Report:
Tom
Melowitz went over the Banks Lake results. Bryan Vance, who took first at
Banks talked about the actics he used to win. Tom also went over the
Potholes tournament information. Mike Buse talked to the club about the
2008 tournament schedule and indicated that the clubhad to pick 3 of there lake
on a ballet form. Mike indicated that this had to be done tonight because
the permits were going to be submitted
before the next meeting.
Fishing Reports: None
Mary Bridge Donations: Members should be soliciting donations. Mary Bridge donations are starting slowly.
Safety: No Report. Be safe.
Old Business: Joe Scheperle has placed the coat order.
New Business:
Club officer nominations.
President: Gerald Dunn and Chuck Warner. Vice
President: Chuck Warner and Bob Graff, Secretary: Jaymee Strasbaugh
Treasurer: Stephanie Strasbaugh. Tournament Director: Larry Williams.
Club Dues are payable by the October club meeting.
Jaymee talked about volunteering at the
Mickelson Open for the club members not fishing the tournament. We will assign
volunteers at the next meeting. He also talked about club member printing
off fliers/sign up forms and dropping them off at tackle shops. Stephanie mentioned that Red
Bull is interested in sponsoring the event.
Klutz Nominations: John Davis was nominated for hitting a boulder at Banks Lake and destroying his entire lower unit. Picture attached!
