2008 Meeting Minutes

The meeting was called to order at 7:10 pm and adjourned at 8:30 pm. Mike Hostetter claimed the Big Fish pot. Special guests were Mark and Mike Robinson from Eatonville.
Program Activity: There was no program activity.
Tips,
Tactics and Techniques: There
were no Tips, Tactics and Techniques. Stephanie Strasbaugh, George
Beegle and Aaron Christel are on for October.
Raffle: There was no raffle.
Treasurer’s Report: Stephanie Strasbaugh reported a balance of
2045.34 with no outstanding bills.
Minutes: The August minutes as
posted on the Internet were approved.
Conservation Report:
No report.
Federation Report: We
still need raffle items for the Annual Federation Banquet. All members can
contribute. Club members can donate items as well.
Tournament Report: Larry Williams went over the Lake Washington
top five finishes with Kenny G. taking first. Kenny talked about the techniques he used to win the tournament. Larry also went over the
Silver Lake preparation. He
also went over preparations for
the Michelson Open. He is looking for morning and afternoon set up volunteers. If you
are not fishing the Open, please
help. We need more volunteers in the afternoon to help set up for the weigh in, hang
banners and set up the awnings for the raffles.
Fishing Report: Larry Williams talked about the water clarity at
Banks Lake allowing visibility of the structure placed into the lake by the
Banks Lake Reclamation project.
Safety: Doug Jorgensen talked about how the club will follow the State boating license
requirement and that we should add it to the next Open flyer as a
requirement to fish the tournament.
Old Business:
Annual club dues are payable by the October meeting. There is a $10 late
fee after the October meeting.
Please pay your dues in October so the
Roster can be turned in earlier this year as apposed to last year.

Larry Williams went over the 2009
tournament schedule turned in by the tournament committee.
Klutz nominations: Daniel
Thomas nominated Aaron Christel for several moments at the Lake Washington club
tournament on Saturday.
1. Aaron stood up and busted the key off in the ignition.
2. While returning for Saturday’s weigh in he hit a wave approaching Coleman Point and the motor died. Aaron could not get the motor to restart so he flagged someone down to bring their fish in to have them weighed. He was towed into the boat launch to have Daniel point out that the safety clip had been pulled and killed the motor.
3. On the way home as he was leaving the gas station noticed he had a flat tire.
